How to Get Here
Set amongst the North Yorkshire countryside in the market town of Settle, Cobweb Cottage is conveniently accessible by various transport methods, see below for directions we hope you find helpful
By Car
From Skipton: take the A65 towards Settle and Kendal, at Long Preston follow the guide below.
From the M6: J31 go on the A59 towards Clitheroe and Skipton. In Gisburn at the mini roundabout by the Church turn left to go to Long Preston and join A65.
From Long Preston:
After Long Preston you will come to a roundabout – take the second exit to Settle.
As you enter Settle (The Falcon Manor Hotel is on the right) follow the road up the hill and round the corner (Post Office on the right – Cottontail Crafts on the left) take the next left into Station Road.
Then first right into the car park – and drive straight through! Turn right onto Kirkgate.
You will see Creative Hair Studio ahead of you. It does say it is a no entry area – though we do drive to the front door to unload and then move the car.
By Train
The cottage is about 2 minute’s walk (luggage dependent!) from Settle station.
The easiest way is to walk down the exit from the station, cross the road and turn right.
You will have the carpet shop on your left hand side.
At the Dental Surgery turn left to enter the car park, walk straight through and turn right into Kirkgate.
You will see Creative Hair Studio ahead of you, walk up Kirkgate and we are on the second cottage on the right after Creative Hair Studio.
Train journeys from Settle to Leeds are approximately 50minutes, from there there are multiple connections to the major cities both north and south. Visit National Rail to plan your journey.
Alternatively Giggleswick station is around 1 mile from the cottage, offering mainline connections to Skipton and Lancaster
Getting Around
By Bus
Located just a minute away from the cottage in the Market Square, local bus routes will take you to Skipton and Kirby Lonsdale
Where to Park
The closest: Ashfield pay and display car park just a minute’s walk away.
Top Tip: Purchase a weekly ticket for £15 from the machine, which can also be used at the following:
Greenfoot Car Park in Settle | Ingleton Community Centre Car Park | Coach Street and Cavendish Street Car Parks in Skipton. More Info
Alternatively there is on road parking by the railway bridge.
By Train
As well as connections to Leeds, the famous Settle-Carlilse line gives you a wonderful experience of the local views the area has to offer as well as special Steam services. Learn more here
